In August of 1987, Malee’s on Main opened, starting small, serving about 20 dinners a night, but after a glowing review from highly regarded restaurant critic Elin Jeffords in October of that year, they surged to 120 dinners a night.

Malee’s chefs bring extensive experience and infuse it with secret techniques, constantly trying new ideas, even doing a little ‘Thai Spy’ wherever delicious discoveries are found- in places as far away as Bangkok.

Meals are prepared individually in 10″ sauté skillets, so four people at one table can each order the same dish, and have it prepared differently, depending on personal preference or dietary need.

Over the years, Malee’s has welcomed everyone from Hollywood celebrities to high school prom dates with the goal to create a place where everyone feels comfortable.
