History
Xanadu Gallery opened its doors to serve collectors on September 10, 2001. As 9/11 unfolded the next day, owners Jason & Carrie Horejs wondered what would become of their new business. On September 12th, a car pulled up into the parking lot, and their first collector entered Xanadu. “I had to turn off the TV,” she explained. “I had to get out of the house, and go find something beautiful.” It was at that moment that Jason and Carrie realized just how important fine art is.

For five years, Xanadu served collectors around the world from its location at the Shops at Gainey Village at Scottsdale Road and Doubletree. In 2006, the gallery moved to the newly completed Main Street Plaza in the heart of the famous Old Town Arts District in Scottsdale, Arizona.

From its inception, Xanadu has been on the leading edge of technology with a website that includes e-commerce to better serve its clientele. The artwork at Xanadu is eclectic and exciting, featuring the talent of established career artists as well as newly discovered rising stars.

Holding to his original vision to better facilitate relationships between collectors and artists, in 2009 Jason proudly introduced Xanadu Studios; an elite virtual gallery where discerning buyers purchase artwork directly from dozens of artists’ studios from around the country.
